I Stood in the Wind
Dear Delyara, No phone. No purpose. No walk tracked for exercise points or personal improvement. Just wind. Cold on my face, moving my hair, entering my sleeves, reminding me that my body is still something other than a machine for carrying tasks between rooms. I stood there long enough for the day to loosen a little in my shoulders. That is what I think nature does for me now. It doesn’t solve. It loosens. And when a life is held too tightly too often, loosening is a kind of grace.
