I Stopped Arguing With My Tiredness
Dear Delyara, For one evening, I did not call it laziness. Did not challenge it. Did not tell myself I should be able to do more. Did not translate every sign of depletion into moral weakness. I just said: I am tired. And I treated that as information instead of accusation. That changed the whole tone of the night. I moved slower. Did less. Spoke more gently to myself. Did not try to earn the right to lie down by becoming half-destroyed first. I think healing is often hidden in that exact shift — when the body’s truth stops having to fight for legitimacy inside the mind. That happened this week. And it felt like kindness in a form I trust.
