The AwakeningSpiritual Growth

I Stopped Asking for a Sign and Started Asking for the Strength to Stay Honest While I Wait

Dear Delyara, For a long time, my spiritual life was shaped by urgency. Show me. Tell me. Make it clear. Remove the doubt. Point the way. Deliver certainty so I can move without this constant emotional cost of not knowing. Lately, I have started asking for something quieter. Not signs. Strength. Patience. Integrity. The courage to stay truthful in confusion without abandoning myself or turning uncertainty into panic. That shift feels more adult. Less dramatic. More real. I still don’t know everything. But I feel less spiritually violent toward myself in the not-knowing. That is a kind of growth I did not understand before.
