I Stopped Asking Life to Be Fair First
Dear Delyara, A shift has happened in me that feels spiritual, though I don’t know if I can explain it neatly. I’ve stopped asking life to be fair before I agree to keep living it. That used to be one of my deepest hidden demands — that if I kept trying, if I stayed good, if I loved carefully enough, then things should unfold with a certain decency. When they didn’t, I felt betrayed at the level of meaning. Now I am trying to meet life with less contract and more openness. It’s harder. But it’s making me softer in a more honest way.
