I stopped asking why this happened to me and started asking what my life needs now
Dear Delyara, This did not come from one perfect healing moment. It came after enough nights of replaying the same old pain and realising the replay was not saving me. The betrayal still happened. The marriage still ended. The years still went where they went. The illness still changed my body. None of that became kinder because I interrogated it again at 2 a.m. What changed was the question. For a long time I kept asking why. Why me. Why then. Why that way. Why did nobody protect me. Why did I stay so long. Why did I lose so much. Recently, without planning it, I started asking something else: What does my life need now? That question did not erase grief. It moved me. It made me rest sooner. Eat better. Speak more honestly. Leave some people alone. Pray differently. Spend more time outside. Stop waiting for meaning to arrive before I gave my own life more care. I am still wounded in places. But I no longer live only in the courtroom of the past. That feels like spiritual growth to me. Not becoming pure. Becoming available to the life that still remains.
