The AwakeningSelf Love

I stopped calling myself lazy for needing a slower month

Dear Delyara, My body has been warning me for a while, but I kept translating every sign into a character flaw. Not enough discipline. Too emotional. Too soft. Too easily overwhelmed. Last month I finally said something different to myself: maybe you don’t need criticism, maybe you need recovery. So I cut back where I could. Fewer commitments. Earlier nights. Less social guilt. More honest answers. Not a glamorous reinvention, just a slower month. And slowly, I started feeling less like a badly managed machine and more like a person again. I wish I had done it sooner. Still, I’m glad I did it at all.
