I stopped insulting my tiredness
Dear Delyara, That is what I usually do without noticing. Call it laziness. Weakness. Lack of discipline. A problem to push through. This week, I heard the old cruel voice rising and interrupted it. I didn’t suddenly become glowing and gentle and healed. I just stopped adding self-contempt to exhaustion. That changed the evening more than I expected. Because rest lands differently in a body that is not being shamed into it. I think that matters profoundly. Maybe more than all the productivity tricks in the world.
