I stopped the old pattern before it became the whole interaction

Dear Delyara, I could feel it starting. The old urge to become more agreeable than honest. To explain too soon. To reduce myself in order to keep the room easy. To offer comfort before truth. To disappear a little so that connection could remain smoother. And this time, I didn’t go all the way with it. That interruption felt like a real shift. Not because it was huge. Because it was timely. Sometimes the whole future changes at the point where an old reflex no longer gets completed.
