I stopped waiting to feel certain before I started living more honestly

Dear Delyara, For years I think I was waiting for some inner bell to ring. A sign. A certainty. A complete emotional clarity about what to do next, who I was now, what this phase meant, which direction was right, what to keep, what to leave, how to begin. I told myself I was being thoughtful. Often I was being frightened. What has changed recently is not that I suddenly know everything. It’s that I no longer worship certainty. I pray differently now. Less for answers, more for steadiness. I make smaller but truer choices. I say no sooner. I tell the doctor the whole thing. I walk in the morning even when I’m not in some beautiful healed headspace. I stop treating confusion as a reason to do nothing. That shift feels spiritual to me. Not because it is dramatic. Because it is honest. I am not waiting to become some fully resolved version of myself before allowing my life to get more real.
