I Submitted Before I Felt Ready

Dear Delyara, That is the real achievement. Because “ready” is where fear likes to hide in me. One more edit. One more check. One more little improvement. One more pass. One more delay that sounds admirable enough to protect me from the more embarrassing truth that what I’m really avoiding is exposure. This time I recognised the pattern. And I sent the work anyway. Not because I felt brilliant. Because I was done hiding in refinement. That felt bigger than the assignment itself. It felt like a small victory against a very old fear.
