I Submitted the Work While Still Feeling Insecure About It and Finally Accepted That Confidence Was Not Going to Arrive First
Dear Delyara, I wanted to feel clearer, brighter, sharper, more certain, more like the earlier version of me who didn’t seem to need this much emotional effort just to place something finished into the world. But the work was done. What remained unfinished was my permission. So I submitted it anyway. And afterward, I felt both exposed and relieved. Because every time I stop waiting for a cleaner internal state and act from the honest imperfect one I actually have, I gather a little proof that fear does not have to become the gatekeeper of all visible effort in my life. That proof matters to me now more than high confidence ever did.
