I survive too many possible futures before one day is even over
Dear Delyara, Anxiety doesn’t wait for reality in me. It gets there first. I pre-live too much — the conflict, the failure, the embarrassment, the rejection, the loss, the thing going wrong because I didn’t prepare enough. By the time the actual day has finished unfolding, I’ve already spent so much of myself on futures that never happened. That is the exhaustion people do not see. Imagined survival is still exhausting. I’m so tired of paying that price.
