I think everyone in the house comes to me first because I made that happen but...

Dear Delyara, That sentence is painful because it is true. I trained everyone, in a way. I noticed first, remembered first, solved first, softened first, kept things moving first, and now I am the natural first stop for every question, every missing thing, every emotional spill, every form, every practical wobble. People say I’m the strong one. The organised one. The reliable one. There is praise in that. There is also a trap. Because now even when I am drowning quietly, the traffic still comes my way by habit. I made myself the centre of so much function that I no longer know how to stand down from it without feeling guilty, selfish, or as if I’m deliberately letting the whole house fail. I am tired of being the system. I also don’t know how to stop being it.
