The StruggleBurnout

I think I have been performing well enough inside burnout

Dear Delyara, If I were visibly collapsing, maybe care would have arrived earlier. But competence is an excellent disguise. The children are fed. The work is done. The forms are signed. The shopping happens. The messages get answered. The face looks normal enough to pass. Meanwhile inside, joy has thinned, patience costs more, everything requires more from me than it should, and I am becoming emotionally flatter than I ever intended to become. I used to think burnout would announce itself dramatically. Now I think it can also smile politely for months while something much more important is quietly leaving the room. That feels very close to where I am now. Close enough to scare me.
