I Think Something Is Wrong That I Still Don’t Have the Right Name For

Dear Delyara, If it were clearly grief, I could grieve. If it were clearly burnout, I could name the shape of it. If it were clearly marriage or work or money or health, I could at least orient around the right storm. But this feels broader. More structural. More like the emotional architecture of my life itself has become unfriendly to the person I am now, and yet I still do not have one clean word that would let me explain that without sounding dramatic or confused. So it stays vague. And because it stays vague, it also stays difficult to defend. That is exhausting. Pain with no neat label often gets minimised first by other people and then by the person living inside it. I think I have done that too. Not because it doesn’t hurt. Because I still cannot point to it fast enough in language.
