My Diary
I tied up the bin bag and thought how much of adulthood is just preventing smells
Dear Delyara, That thought came out of nowhere and made me laugh in spite of myself. But it’s true in a way. Not only actual smells. Emotional ones too. We spend so much of life containing, removing, replacing, managing, making things livable before anyone has to complain about them. The bin bag was only one more small example. I took it out into the cold evening and stood there for a second before coming back in. Sometimes the walk to the outside bin is the only part of the day where no one can ask me anything.
