GratitudeFriendship
I told my friend I couldn’t talk, and she understood immediately
Dear Delyara, I was too tired to explain the whole day properly. Work had been too much, one child was upset, the house was loud, and I could feel I had nothing left for a proper phone call. So I just said, “I can’t do a call tonight.” She replied, “No worries at all. Rest.” That was it. No guilt. No cooling off. No “Are you sure?” No hidden punishment for not performing availability. Just understanding. That kind of friendship feels very safe to me now.
