I told the physiotherapist when the exercise hurt instead of pretending I could cope with it

Dear Delyara, Old me would have smiled, pushed through, and gone home annoyed at myself later. This time I said, “That one hurts.” Such a simple sentence. It changed the whole appointment. She adjusted it immediately, explained why, and gave me a version I could actually do without bracing or pretending. I left feeling so strangely proud, not because I had done something dramatic, but because I had told the truth early enough for care to meet it instead of waiting until the truth became obvious through pain. I think health gets better at the point where performance ends. That was the point, for me, this week.
