I Took the Better Space

Dear Delyara, The seat with the light. The clear view. The physical ease. The spot I would normally leave for someone else automatically because some old training in me still tries to make me smaller before the room has asked. This time I didn’t. It was such a small thing on the outside. Inside, it felt like the body learning a new sentence: my comfort is not an emergency for me to give away at the first opportunity. That matters. I can feel how much it matters.
