The AwakeningSelf Love

I treated comfort like a need, not a reward

Dear Delyara, I did something small today that felt much bigger inside me. I chose comfort without making myself earn it first. A better meal. A warmer jumper. A slower evening. A proper break before resentment set in. A kinder tone in my own head when I realized I was running low. I think for years I treated comfort as something to justify. Something to permit only after enough work, enough suffering, enough proof of deserving. I don’t want to live like that anymore. So I’m practicing something simpler: responding to need before collapse.
