I trust my difficult moments less than I used to
Dear Delyara, That may be one of the biggest forms of progress in my life. I still have difficult moments. Anxious ones. Low ones. Tired, sharp, emotionally thin ones. But I trust them less as narrators. I no longer let every bad hour become prophecy. I no longer let every harsh thought become authority. I no longer assume every difficult mood is the truth about my whole life. That does not make the moments disappear. It makes me larger than them. And tonight, that feels worth honoring.
