I trusted my own timing instead of performing speed

Dear Delyara, This week I noticed something shift professionally. I didn’t rush to speak just to prove presence. I let myself think first. I let my voice arrive at its natural speed instead of using quickness as proof that I belonged in the room. That may sound small. It didn’t feel small inside me. I think for a long time I confused competence with speed, as if fast responses were the price of authority. Now I’m learning that grounded timing can carry more power than anxious quickness ever did. I liked myself more in the room this way. That matters.
