I Turned It In

Dear Delyara, Even while still insecure. Even while the old voice was saying wait one more day, improve one more paragraph, protect yourself a little longer from the exposure of being seen trying. I turned it in. That is the victory. Not the grade. Not the praise. Not the outcome. Movement. I think so many women like me lose years not because we lack talent or seriousness, but because we wait to feel emotionally invulnerable before we allow ourselves visible effort.
