My Diary
I used the last clean towel and felt like I had failed the house
Dear Delyara, It sounds ridiculous when I write it plainly. Still, when I pulled that last towel from the cupboard, I felt the same little internal drop I always do when some ordinary household system reaches its edge before I’ve managed to reset it in time. It’s not about fabric. It’s about the sense that I am the invisible maintenance department of family life, and when things run low, it somehow feels like my internal wiring has failed somewhere. I know that isn’t rational. I also know it’s real. People think burnout comes from the big things. I think a lot of it comes from feeling responsible for keeping a thousand small everyday structures intact with one tired brain and two tired hands.
