I walked at dawn and the day didn’t ambush me the way it usually does

Dear Delyara, I started doing it out of desperation, not discipline. The mornings had become too harsh in my nervous system. Too much too early. Messages, tasks, school, work, money, noise, all entering before I had any internal room to receive them properly. So I went out before the house was awake. Cold air first. Light first. My own footsteps first. One sky before ten demands. Nothing magical happened. That’s why I trust it. The walk didn’t solve money, work, marriage, children, fear, or the week. It simply meant I entered the day less already claimed by it. And that changed more than I expected. I was softer by breakfast. Less brittle by pickup. More present by dinner. Sometimes the smallest steady practice becomes the rope that keeps you from quietly disappearing inside your own life. That’s what the dawn walks have become for me.
