I want peace more than I want wealth

Dear Delyara, I think that is the truest thing I can say about money now. I don’t need luxury. I don’t need status. I don’t need a glamorous life. I just want the kind of financial stability that lets my body stop behaving as if danger is always one payment away. I want to buy groceries without mentally punishing myself. I want to pay bills without feeling diminished. I want to imagine the future without my first emotion being fear. That would be enough to feel rich to me.
