My Diary
I wanted a different face for one evening
Dear Delyara, I was tired of my own expression. Tired of how my face felt like it had told on me all day — too easy to read, too easy to search, too easy to catch in moments where I thought I was hiding what was actually happening inside. I wanted one evening with a face no one had any history with. A face free of expectation, performance, recognition, habit. That sounds sadder written down than it felt. It was mostly exhaustion. The kind that gets tired of even being itself.
