My Diary
I wanted a different kind of evening than the one I had
Dear Delyara, This evening wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t the one I needed. I needed softer. Less interrupted. Less mentally crowded. Less full of small practical things still echoing from the day. More like a place to land and less like a delayed extension of everything I was already tired of holding. Instead, the evening arrived with its own little demands and leftovers. I managed it. But I didn’t rest inside it the way I wanted. That disappointment feels too small to say to most people. But here, it feels worth naming.
