The SilenceLoneliness

I wanted accurate company, not just company

Dear Delyara, That distinction matters more to me than ever. Not being around people. Being around the right depth of being known. I wanted someone who could feel the difference in me without a dramatic explanation. Someone who understands my emotional weather enough that I don’t have to walk them to it every time. Someone who could sit with my quieter states without immediately either missing them or trying to fix them. That kind of company feels rare. Its absence has a particular ache. I felt that ache sharply this week.
