My Diary

I wanted my tea before I became useful

Dear Delyara, That was the dream. Just one hot cup, one chair, one quiet beginning. No school app, no dog, no form, no child saying they need something signed right now, no husband asking if I’ve seen the other charger, no looking at the clock while trying to feel like a person. Instead, I made the tea, put it down, and immediately got pulled into the usual traffic of the morning. By the time I came back to it, it had gone from comfort to obligation. I still drank it. But I’m tired of how often my own basic small kindnesses arrive already damaged by interruption before they even reach me properly.
