My Diary
I wanted one conversation without performing stability
Dear Delyara, I think I am tired of sounding fine. Not because I want drama. Because I want one conversation where I don’t have to smooth everything into manageable language before it leaves my mouth. Today I spoke to several people, and with each one I could feel the same careful editing happening — this part is too heavy, that part is too complicated, this part will need too much context, that part will make the room uncomfortable. So I stayed in the version of myself that is easier to receive. And afterward I felt lonelier than before I spoke. I don’t think I need constant deep talks. I just need one place where the truth doesn’t have to arrive dressed properly.
