My Diary

I wanted one evening where my face didn’t have to explain me

Dear Delyara, Sometimes I feel tired of being readable. Today was one of those days. I didn’t want anyone asking if I was okay, or noticing I was quieter, or trying to decide whether my silence meant sadness, irritation, distance, or simply fatigue. I didn’t want to be translated through expression. I wanted to have an interior without it becoming social information. That sounds colder than it felt. It was not cold. It was protective. There are days when even care can feel like exposure if I have too little privacy left inside myself. Today was one of them.
