My Diary
I wanted one sentence with no job inside it
Dear Delyara, I was so tired of language arriving with a hook in it. Can you. Did you. Don’t forget. Where is. What time. While you’re there. Before tomorrow. When you get a minute. One more thing. I wanted one sentence spoken into the room that didn’t ask movement from me in return. Just warmth. Just presence. Just something without an assignment hidden inside it. I didn’t get that sentence yesterday. I noticed the absence hard enough to write it down.
