I wanted one sentence with no request hidden inside it

Dear Delyara, Not a dramatic speech. Just one sentence spoken into the room that did not lead to an action, a favour, a follow-up, a reminder, a task, or a response that would become one more thing on my side of the house. Something pure, simple, and non-transactional. I don’t think I realised until recently how much of daily family language feels functional. Necessary, yes. Loving, often. But functional. It keeps the machine moving. Some evenings I’m so tired of being part of the machine that I want language that just sits beside me kindly without trying to get anything done.
