I wanted one soft thing and got many efficient things instead

Dear Delyara, Today felt full of efficiency. Useful replies. Functional tones. Fast interactions. Practical movement. No one was cruel. Still, I could feel the absence of softness like a nutritional deficiency. I think some days what I need most is not help, not progress, not insight — just softness in tone, pace, language, atmosphere. The kind of softness that lets the body stop defending itself against the day for a few minutes. I didn’t get much of that today. I noticed the lack like thirst.
