My Diary
I wanted one task to feel emotionally neutral
Dear Delyara, That was oddly hard to find today. Everything felt attached to something else. Laundry meant accumulation. Email meant pressure. Cooking meant effort. Tidying meant evidence of not coping well enough. Even small practical things carried too much emotional meaning by the time evening arrived. I wanted one task that was just a task. Nothing symbolic. Nothing loaded. Nothing quietly accusing me of being behind on life. I eventually wiped down the kitchen counter and let it be only that. A surface. A cloth. A few minutes. It was the cleanest part of the day.
