My Diary
I wanted one thing not to need anything from me
Dear Delyara, That was the feeling tonight. Everywhere I looked, something wanted something. Laundry, inbox, floor, body, mind, future, money, people, tasks, unfinished things. Nothing huge on its own. Just too many small claims arriving at once. I wanted one object, one room, one hour, one area of my life that didn’t quietly ask for care or action or improvement. I think this is what exhaustion sometimes is: not one burden, but too many little requests from reality. Tonight I ignored most of them. That felt necessary.
