My Diary
I wanted someone else to remember the dentist money this month
Dear Delyara, I’m tired of being the one who keeps the little invisible countdowns running in my head. Dentist this month. Shoes soon. Birthday next Friday. Gas due. Prescription. Non-uniform donation. Petrol low. School photo money. Return the library book. I know household life runs on remembering. I just wish the remembering lived in more than one body. Some days I feel less like a mother and more like a calendar with feelings. That’s probably unfair. It’s still how it feels.
