My Diary
I wanted someone to ask me a real question
Dear Delyara, I had conversations all day. Small talk, updates, polite checking in, practical exchanges, even one nice laugh. And yet, by the end of it, I felt completely emotionally untouched. I think I wanted someone to ask me a real question. Not “How are you?” Something more dangerous than that. Something that would require me to arrive honestly. Maybe: What’s been heavy lately? What have you been pretending is fine? What are you not saying? No one asked. So I stayed in the safe version of myself.
