My Diary

I wanted someone to cancel something for me

Dear Delyara, Not in a cruel way. In a merciful one. I think there are days when what I’m most tired of is being the one who decides everything — what can wait, what must be done, what needs replying to, what can be postponed, what emotional price is worth paying and what isn’t. Decision-making becomes its own form of fatigue after a while. Tonight I wanted someone else to look at my evening and say: not this, not now, leave that, I’ve got that, this part can disappear. I don’t even know who I want that from exactly. Maybe life itself. That wish felt almost childish when it came to me. It also felt completely understandable.
