My Diary
I wanted someone to know without me having to become eloquent
Dear Delyara, Tonight I didn’t want to explain beautifully. I didn’t want to build the right emotional sentence or translate the feeling into something clear enough to deserve care. I just wanted to be known in the unfinished state — the tired state, the heavier-than-usual state, the state that does not yet know whether it is sadness, overwhelm, loneliness, or all three standing too close together. I think I am tired of requiring eloquence from myself before I permit need. Some nights, the truth is not polished. It is still true.
