My Diary
I wanted someone to make me tea
Dear Delyara, Tonight I wanted someone to make me tea. Not because I’m incapable. Because I’m tired of doing every small act of care for myself all the time. Sometimes it isn’t the big gestures I long for. It’s one ordinary moment of being gently looked after. A warm mug handed to me. A quiet “sit down, I’ve got this.” Another person in the room who understands that I’m a little more worn out than I sound. That kind of tenderness feels expensive to me.
