My Diary
I wanted someone to take care of the small things
Dear Delyara, Tonight I wasn’t craving some huge dramatic rescue. I wanted someone else to handle the small things. Make the tea. Lock the door. Remember the milk. Reply to the boring message. Notice I’m tired without needing a speech about it. Take one ordinary responsibility off my shoulders before it becomes emotional. I think that’s what I miss most some evenings — not passion, not excitement, not even conversation. Just shared weight. There is something so tender about not having to carry all the little things by yourself all the time.
