The SilenceLoneliness

I wanted someone who already knew the backstory

Dear Delyara, I think one of the deepest forms of loneliness is not having to face things alone, but having to explain them alone from the beginning. The backstory. The context. The old wound underneath the new thing. Why this tone matters. Why this timing matters. Why this particular sadness is heavier than it would sound if I summarized it too quickly. Today I wanted someone who already knew all that. Someone for whom my pain didn’t have to arrive as a formal introduction. That kind of knowing feels rare enough to ache.
