The SilenceLoneliness

I wanted someone who could read the difference in my quiet

Dear Delyara, Not all silence is the same, and that is what loneliness keeps teaching me. There is ordinary silence, tired silence, angry silence, bruised silence, overstimulated silence, “I don’t have words yet” silence. I wanted someone this week who could hear which one it was without me needing to build a full emotional guidebook first. That kind of being-known feels almost impossible sometimes. And when it’s absent, even company can feel lonely. I think that’s the ache I carry most now: not the lack of people, the lack of accurate reading.
