My Diary
I wanted the evening to belong to me
Dear Delyara, There are nights when I don’t want much. Just a little part of the evening that feels like mine. No pressure to answer quickly. No one needing emotional labor. No expectation to be warm, responsive, organized, or useful. Just a little untouched time. Tonight I got about half an hour of that, and it helped more than I expected. I think I am more starved for uninterrupted inner space than I usually admit.
