My Diary
I wanted the evening to stay mine
Dear Delyara, Not to become productive later. Not to become emotionally useful later. Not to become socially available later. Mine. That was the craving. I think I’ve been giving away too much of my evenings without noticing it. Little replies, little emotional tasks, little practical obligations, little hooks from the day still pulling on me. Tonight I wanted a clean boundary around the hours after dark. I didn’t get all of it. But I protected more than usual. That felt good.
