My Diary
I wanted the room to hold me better
Dear Delyara, Some rooms feel neutral. Some feel difficult. Tonight I wanted the room I was in to feel more emotionally supportive than it did. I changed the light, moved a chair, cleared a surface, put on softer clothes, and suddenly the whole evening shifted. Not because my life changed. Because the space did. I think I underestimate how often the room is part of the emotional story. How much environment can either scrape you or soothe you. Tonight it soothed me, once I listened properly. I’m grateful for that.
