My Diary
I wanted the room to stop witnessing me
Dear Delyara, Sometimes even objects feel like witnesses. The stack of paper. The unmade bed. The shoes. The unopened letter. The plate. Tonight I wanted not to be reflected back by every surface in the house. I wanted a room that knew nothing about me. I didn’t find that. But I did make one corner gentler. And for a while, that was enough.
