My Diary
I wanted to be asked nothing
Dear Delyara, No opinions. No updates. No decisions. No “what do you think?” No “can you just…?” No “are you free?” No “while I’ve got you…” Just one evening with no demands shaped like small requests. I think I underestimate how many little pieces of me get taken during a day by things that seem too minor to count individually. But they count together. By night I can feel that accumulation in my jaw, my answers, my lack of patience, my private resentment. Tonight I did the bare minimum and went quiet early. It felt necessary.
